Auto Follow-Up Emails (Basic & Enterprise)

Automatically send a follow-up email after lead capture to improve engagement and response rates.​

Overview​

When enabled, Witzo sends an automatic follow-up email to captured leads. This works only if the lead provides a valid email address.

When Emails Are Sent​

A follow-up email is sent when:

  • A lead is captured with a valid email address.
  • Your plan includes auto follow-up capability.
  • No previous follow-up was sent to that lead.
  • The system checks follow_up_sent_at before sending.

Plan Restriction: Available on Basic, Standard and Enterprise only.

How Duplicates Are Prevented​

Witzo prevents duplicate follow-ups by:

  • Checking if the email was already sent
  • Storing a timestamp for sent follow-ups
  • Blocking repeat sends for the same lead

This ensures one follow-up per lead entry.

Limitations​

  • Only one automated follow-up per lead
  • No advanced email sequencing
  • No custom email editor panel currently available
  • Email sending depends on configured mail service
  • If email delivery fails due to invalid address, it is not retried automatically.
